Friends like these are hard to come by

Saturday night was bittersweet.

Marisol and I

Sweet because we got to visit our dear, dear friends the Mayberry’s, bitter because it will most likely be the last time we see them for a while. You see, they’re moving to France for the next three years! And while the dream is that we now have an excuse to visit Europe, the reality is that we may not make it there to see them. And three years is a long time!

We moved away from Mission Viejo (where they live) about 3 years ago now, but we’ve managed to keep in general contact with them throughout that time. Marisol is one of those people that you just love to be around because she’s fun and funny and always willing to talk. I love laughing with her and she’s just easy to be around.

Tracy, Marisol and I

Her, myself and my dear friend Tracy all lived in the same ward (church boundaries) and we all had our kids around the same time. They basically grew up together for a good couple of years. We have always had this easy friendship that is just comfortable and fun. I miss those days!

But now, there are changes on the horizon – new homes, new adventures, and a lot of growing to do. We will miss you, Mayberry’s! But we know that you’ll be soaking up the French lifestyle. I hope we’ll be able to make it out there someday to see it.

Love you! Have a grand adventure!

cute pictures! It's amazing to see how big our babies have gotten. Sometimes I wish we could go back in time.
