Merry Christmas indeed....

....so apparently I was too fast in getting out Christmas cards (just mailed them out today). Because if I had waited a day or two to create said cards, this would have been the picture to send out.

BWAHAHAHAHA. And just in case you can't really appreciate the screaming terror in my child's eyes at seeing this scary Santa man, here is the closeup:

Is it wrong that I think this is the most hilarious thing I've ever seen?

Poor Santa guy, he was just trying to give him a candy cane! Guess Eli knows never to take candy from strangers better than I thought.

::giggle::

PS It might have been the belt buckle. That is one intimidating belt buckle.
(And that's a lot to say, coming from a Texan...)

I LOVE screaming Santa photos. They are the greatest! I promise there will be a year where he's sitting there happily smiling and you'll think back on this photo and actually miss it. Too funny!

Oh, that is hilarious! Poor little Eli! Scout and Soraya both did well with Santa this year. Scout loved Santa's beard. Good to see you're doing well!

HAHA! Poor Eli!

Seriously. That is terrific.

Like my sister said, there is something that is just not right about making our kids sit on some stranger's lap and make them whisper secrets into his ear in exchange for candy or promises of presents. Isn't this what we teach our children NOT to do the other 364 days of the year?

Poor Eli. We miss you.
