Life is good.

I just had our book club meet at my house last night, and we talked about this book. It was interesting to hear the difference opinions of the women who were here, because we had a big range of ages included in the discussion. I was glad to see my friend Erin come, it's been a little while since I've seen her and I am sad that she's moved out of our ward. My friend Tracy came, and even brought her mom, who was getting over pneumonia! Now that's dedication! :)

The book is really good if you're looking for ways to change your perspective about your husband and your marriage. I think I fell into a lot of the traps of what the book describes, like taking my husband and all he does for me for granted, assuming that since he doesn't express his feelings to me that often means that he doesn't have any, and having really high expectations for him that are unrealistic. And it's not something that you necessarily are choosing to do every day, it just seemed like it crept in in places that I didn't expect. So it was nice to take a step back and examine my relationship with him and my attitude towards our marriage, and just refresh things a little. I would recommend this book to anyone who's mildly interested in it. :)

All in all, I really enjoy our book club and I'm glad that I've started going this year.

Hey, Laurel! Thanks for the shout-out! I was happy to see you, too. It was as if I never left! Thanks for hosting book club and for choosing a most excellent book...we all know that I need it just about now!
